Applicants must meet the following general requirements: Be South African citizens.Come from a disadvantaged background.Be studying or planning to study full-time in 2027.Be pursuing an eligible undergraduate degree.Have a strong academic record.Demonstrate leadership potential and good character.Be willing to comply with the bursary’s work-back conditions.Study at an eligible institution registered with the appropriate South African higher education authorities. The programme accepts applications from current tertiary students, 2026 Matric learners and qualifying applicants who completed Matric in 2025 and took a gap year.
