UNISA Postgraduate Bursary South Africa 2024

The University of South Africa (known as Unisa), is South Africa’s largest university system, by number of enrollments. UNISA is a comprehensive university that offers vocational and academic programmes, many of which have received international accreditation, as well as an extensive geographical footprint. Unisa has 8 prestigious colleges, which offering a variety of high quality academic and vocational programmes. Students may pursue qualifications within any of these departments: College of Accounting Sciences (CAS); College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES); College of Economic and Management Sciences (CEMS); College of Education (CEDU); College of Graduate Studies; College of Human Sciences (CHS); College of Law (CLAW); College of Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET). Unisa also has a Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL), which is recognised as one of the top business schools in South Africa.

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):Postgraduate Diploma and Honours Bursary: You must be a South African citizenYou must have completed an undergraduate NQF level 7 qualification (degree or advance diploma) at UNISA, by no later than 31 January 2024You must be temporarily registered for registration to be activated once your application is successfulYou must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% for your entire undergraduate qualificationYou must be a South African Postgraduate Diploma or Honours students in your 2nd year of study, and have passed at least 3 postgraduate modules in the same Postgraduate qualificationYou must NOT be a Graduate School of Business Leadership student, who is registered for a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management or a Postgraduate Diploma in Project ManagementYou must NOT be registered for special study programmes, including certificates (PGCE) and non-degree purpose programmesYou must NOT already hold a postgraduate degree at the same or a higher NQF level to the qualification registered forYou must NOT be a permanent staff member at Unisa Master’s and Doctoral bursary: You must be a South African citizen or an international student, however preference will be given to South African students (in a 80/20 ratio)You must be temporarily registered for registration to be activated once your application is successfulMaster’s and Doctoral research students: you must have completed your Research Proposal module by no later than 31 January 2024 and must have a completed supervisor’s report that recommends financial support based on academic performanceMaster’s by coursework students: you must have passed 2 coursework modules by no later than 31 January 2024Master’s by coursework students: you must have passed all modules by no later than 31 January 2024, must be doing research, and must have a completed supervisor’s report that recommends financial support based on academic performance in the coursework modules completedYou must NOT be a 1st year Master’s or Doctoral studentYou must NOT be registered for Masters of Business Administration and Masters of business LeadershipYou must NOT be registered for special study programmes, including certificates (e.g., PGCE) and non-degree purpose programmesYou must NOT hold a postgraduate degree at the same or a higher NQF level to the qualification registered forYou must NOT be a permanent staff member at Unisa
