What’s covered

Funding details

The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: full university fees, registration fees, exam fees and prescribed textbooks. After completing the 1 year bursary, students will partake in a 1 year paid internship (in Cape Town or Johannesburg), with a strong potential for full-time employment thereafter. Bursary recipients will also receive exposure to a consulting business environment, support for their career development during the learnership and formal and informal training.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be a South African citizen (by birth or descent)You must be Black (per the B-BBEE Act: African, Coloured, Indian or Chinese)You must have completed MatricYou must have achieved a minimum of level 4 for English Home Language OR level 5 for English Second Language in MatricYou must be enrolled to study full-time, towards one of the following qualifications for the 2026 academic year: 4th year BBusSc with a major in Information Systems, BCom Honours in Information Systems or BEng Honours in Industrial EngineeringYou must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% for your 2nd and 3rd year of University studyYou must be interested in pursuing a career in consultingYou must have excellent analytical skillsYou must have strong problem-solving capabilitiesYou must be willing to partake in the 1 year internship, in Cape Town or Johannesburg after graduation
