The Support Teacher Empowerment Trust (STET) is a South African non-profit organisation established in 2017 with a strong focus on developing future educators. STET supports young Black women pursuing careers in basic education by offering teaching bursaries alongside structured mentorship and skills development programmes. Its initiatives place particular emphasis on high-demand subjects such as Coding, Robotics, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mathematics, and Science. Through industry-relevant training and hands-on learning opportunities for both teachers and learners, STET works to strengthen teaching standards and reduce the digital divide in under-resourced schools, while equipping participants with skills needed for a modern, technology-driven education system.
