The South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN) is the official body tasked with overseeing the planning profession under the Planning Profession Act, 36 of 2002. SACPLAN is committed to overseeing the planning profession to safeguard and enhance public interests in planning; Expanding the pool of registered planners while encouraging diversity within the field; Promoting transformation through innovative ideas and practices in spatial planning and land use management.
