Rand West City Local Municipality Bursary South Africa 2026

Rand West City Municipality is a division of the West Rand District Municipality, located in the Gauteng province of South Africa. The Municipality was established when a merger occured between the Randfontein and Westonaria local municipalities, after the August 2016 local elections. The Executive Mayor of Rand West City Local Municipality is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the2026 academic year.

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must reside within the Rand West City Local Municipality, in Gauteng provinceYou must be currently in Matric or have completed MatricYou must be studying or intend on studying full time towards an undergraduate qualification, within one of the fields of study listed aboveYou must be studying or have been provisionally accepted to study at a public University or public institution of higher learning in South AfricaYour qualification must be for a minimum of 1 or 3/4 academic yearsYour parents/ guardian must have a total joint household income of NOT more than R350 000 per annumPreference will be given to students from families who are registered on indigent database categoriesPreference will be given to students from a disadvantaged background
