The Public Investment Corporation SOC Ltd (PIC) is under ownership of the South African Government and is the only South African investment management company, whose focus is solely on the public sector. The PIC Bursary Programme was established in 2017, with the aim of providing funding to academically performing and financially deserving students. The bursary aims to assist and close the gap in tertiary education funding, and provide under-graduate study funding assistance to unemployed youth registered for full time studies at Accredited Higher Learning Institutions, within South Africa.

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying for thebursary(please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be a South African citizenYou must NOT be older than 25 years of ageYou must have been born in and be residing in these provinces: Mpumalanga, North West, KwaZulu-Natal, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Limpopo, Free State or GautengYou must be currently in Matric or have completed MatricYou must be studying or intend on studying full-time, towards an undergraduate qualification within one of the fields listed above (the bursary does NOT cover postgraduate studies)You must be pursuing your first undergraduate qualification (the bursary does NOT cover second undergraduate qualifications)You must be admitted (registered or accepted) to study at a Public Accredited Institution of Higher Learning in South AfricaYou must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% for Matric mid-year resultsYou must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% for your most recent results, if currently studyingYou must an unemployedYou must be in financial needYou must have proven excellent academic performanceApplicants living with a disability are encouraged to apply
