NFVF Bursary South Africa 2027

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the2027 academic year. Bursaries will be awarded forUndergraduate and Postgraduate (National Diploma/ Degree) studies, withinFilm or Television-related fields(excluding any performing arts, acting, music, dancing, and any other course not within the Film and TV category). The aim of the NFVF bursary programme is to stimulate and develop skills of candidates, who wish to follow a career within the film & TV industry.

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be aSouth African citizenYou must have completed MatricYou must be studying or intend on studying full-time, towards anundergraduate or postgraduate diploma or degreein thefilm or television industryYou must be registered or provisionally registered to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South AfricaYou must have astrong academic recordYou must have achieved an overall average of 60%, if currently studyingYou must have proven financial need, with acombined household income of less than R600 000 per annumPreference will be given to students enrolled at public tertiary institutions in South Africa
