The Moshal Scholarship Program operates in South Africa and Israel, with the aim of supporting highly-motivated and tenacious students to complete their university education, which will help them better their future and hopefully that of their communities one day. The Moshal Scholarship Program currently supports approximately 1000 students in South Africa and Israel. Thus far, te Program has funded 1173 students, who have successfully graduated with complex degrees.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be in Matric or have completed MatricYou must be studying or intend on studying towards a Degree within one of the fields listed above, in 2026You must be studying or have been accepted to study at one of the following selected universities:Nelson Mandela University (NMU)Rhodes University (RU)Stellenbosch University (SUN)University of Cape Town (UCT)University of Free State (UFS)University of Johannesburg (UJ)University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)University of Pretoria (UP)University of the Western Cape (UWC)University of Witwatersrand (WITS)You must have achieved a minimum result of 70% for English, Mathematics, Physical Science and/or AccountingYou must be in financial need, with a family income of NOT more than R200 000 per annum (before deductions)
