Since it has evolved, Lesedi is now a leading engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) African company, with a long history in nuclear, industrial power, mining and oil and gas environments. Lesedi is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the2025 academic year.

Funding details

Up to 5 bursaries will be awarded, which will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees (full or partial based on assessment), accommodation, prescribed textbooks and a monthly stipend. Payments made directly to the institution. Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be a South African citizenYou must NOT be older than 35 yearsYou must be studying or intend on studying towards an Engineering qualification, within one of the fields of study listed aboveYou must be currently enrolled or accepted to study at a recognised University or University of Technology in South AfricaYou must have a strong academic record in Engineering studiesYou must have a strong foundation in Mathematics and Physical SciencesYou must have a good understanding of Engineering principlesYou must be computer literateYou must have good language proficiency in EnglishYou must have analytical and problem-solving abilitiesYou must have technical aptitudeYou must have research capabilitiesYou must have time management skillsYou must have academic writing skillsYou must be self-motivatedYou must have strong work ethicYou must be able to work under pressureYou must be committed to academic excellenceYou must have professional conductPreference will be given to: Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students, children of Lesedi employees and employee referrals, previously disadvantaged groups, women in engineering and students living with disabilities
