Komatsu Ltd is a Japanese multinational company, founded in 1921 and headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. The company manufactures construction, mining, forestry and military equipment, as well as diesel engines and industrial equipment. The Komatsu Group includes Komatsu Ltd. and 258 other companies. The company is named after the city Komatsu, situated in Japan – in English “Komatsu” translates to “little pine tree”.
