The Hollywood Foundation was established in 2021 with the aim of positively impacting the communities in which they operate. The Foundation donated to 890 charitable organisations in the 2021 year – from old age homes, children’s homes and schools, to small local businesses, as well as educational growth and development. The Hollywood Foundation was launched by Hollywoodbets, the South African betting operator that provides a range of betting services, including: Betgames, Live Games, Lucky Numbers, as well as betting on all major sports such as horse racing, soccer, cricket, rugby, golf, tennis, American football, basketball, darts and more.

Funding details
The bursary may provide full or partial cover for study-related expenses – the amount of cover will depend on the candidates field of study and their academic results. The bursary will cover pre-approved costs, specifically: registration fees, tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, study materials, accommodation and living assistance (where applicable and approved). The bursary will NOT cover supplementary exams, non-prescribed materials, or other unrelated expenses. Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be a South African citizenYou must have completed Matric or be currently in MatricYou must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above, in 2026 (Full time Higher Certificates, National Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees and Postgraduate studies)You must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification that is 12 months or longerYou must be studying or have applied to study at a tertiary institution that is registered with the DHET in South AfricaYou must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% in Matric mid-year or final results, if currently in MatricYou must have achieved a minimum result of 65% per subject in Matric, if currently in MatricYou must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% at tertiary level latest results, if currently at tertiary levelYou must maintain a minimum overall average of 60% to be considered for funding for the next academic yearYou must NOT be receiving any other bursary, awards, internships, or emoluments, that bind you to enter the service of any organisation upon completion of your studiesYou must read and agree to theTerms and Conditions of the bursary(.pdf)
