Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):Environmental Science students: You must be a South African citizenYou must have completed MatricYou must be studying towards a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental SciencesYou must be studying towards one of proposed majors, which include but are not limited to: Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrology / HydrogeologyYou must be in the 2nd, 3rd or final year of studyYou must be studying at a recognised university in South AfricaYou must have achieved a minimum overall average of 70% in the 2021 academic year to dateYou must have passed all subjects in the 2021 academic year to dateYou must NOT be in receipt of any other bursary or scholarship fundingYou must be passionate about Environmental ScienceYou must be dedicated to your studiesPreference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates Engineering students: You must be a South African citizenYou must have completed MatricYou must be studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical)You must be in the 2nd, 3rd or final year of studyYou must be studying at a recognised university in South AfricaYou must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% in the 2021 academic year to dateYou must have passed all subjects in the 2021 academic year to dateYou must NOT be in receipt of any other bursary or scholarship fundingYou must be passionate about EngineeringYou must be dedicated to your studiesPreference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates ALL candidates mustalsopossess the following skills/ key competencies: You must be self-motivated and enthusiasticYou must be trustworthy and reliableYou must have strong communication skills (written and verbal)You must take ownership and show initiativeYou must be an innovative thinkerYou must pay close attention to detail and be highly accurateYou must work well under pressureYou must be able to manage stress and maintain resilience when necessaryYou must have good time and priority management skillsYou must be able to work well in a teamYou must be always willing to learnYou must be able to accept constructive feedbackYou must be solution-seekingYou must be client-focusedYou must maintain professional and ethical behaviour at all timesYou must show entry-level leadership skillsYou must have strong sense of community
