Make a Difference Leadership Foundation (MAD) was established to provide academically gifted students the opportunity to achieve their academic goals through valuable education and mentorship. MAD aims to inspire the future of the country, and as such, offers several comprehensive scholarship opportunities focusing on individual support and development. MAD partnered with the FEM Education Foundation NPC to offer scholars the FEMEF Mike Ilsley Memorial scholarship opportunity. This scholarship programme was created to honour Mike Ilsley and his dedication to education and ethical leadership.

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be a South African citizenYou must have completed MatricYou must be studying towards an undergraduate SAICA accredited-degreeYou must be in your 1st or 2nd year of studyYou must have achieved a minimum result of 70% for Financial Accounting in 2024You must have achieved a minimum overall of 70% in 2024You must be studying at a recognised and accredited university in South AfricaYou must intend on pursuing a career in Chartered Accounting (CA (SA))You must have a gross household income of NOT more than R25 000 per monthYou must demonstrate excellent academic abilityYou must be involved in community serviceYou must demonstrate strong leadership skillsYou must have strong valuesYou must be responsible
