The Energy Mobility Education Trust was founded in 2014 by bpSA as the BPSA Education Foundation Trust, but over the years the Trust has evolved and grown, ultimately shaping their identity into the Energy Mobility Education Trust. The aim of the Trust is to help young black South Africans realise their dreams, by facilitating access to education, skills development and formal qualifications. Over the last decade, the company has awarded R238 million to fund over 4200 students in their quest for higher education.

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be a South African citizenYou must be 32 years old or youngerYou must be Black, as defined by the B-BBEE ActYou must be studying towards a qualification within one of the fields listed aboveYou must be entering your final year of undergraduate studies or postgraduate studies (Honours, Masters or PhD)You must be studying at one of the Trust’s current scholarship partner universities: University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), the University of Johannesburg (UJ), the University of Pretoria (UP), North-West University (NWU), the University of Limpopo (UL) or the University of the Western Cape (UWC)You must have a total household income of NOT more than R600 000 per annum
