Babette Taute Scholarship South Africa 2027

The Babette Taute Trust is inviting students to apply for theBabette Taute Honours Scholarship, for the2027 academic year. Scholarships will be awarded forHonours studies, in any branch ofEnglish language and literature study, including applied language studies. Every year, scholarships are awarded for postgraduate English studies in South Africa. Candidates will be selected based on academic merit, as well as other forms of merit: leadership in cultural or social areas, quality of publications and writing, and excellence as a translator or English teacher.

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be aSouth African citizen or have permanent residence status in South AfricaYou must bestudying full time towards an Honours degree, in a branch of English language, literature and applied language studiesYou must be studying at arecognised and accredited university in South AfricaYou must have astrong academic recordYou must NOT have any other bursary awards over the total value of R120 000 (you may have other bursary funding if it is under this value)
