Eligibility criteria

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): You must be a citizen of one of the African, Asian or Pacific countries listed aboveYou must be 25 years or older on on 1 February 2027You must have completed and hold an undergraduate degree (equivalent to an Australian undergraduate degree)You must NOT already hold or be undertaking a master’s degree or equivalent (equivalent to a master’s degree in home country)You must wish to pursue full time undergraduate or postgraduate studies in AustraliaYou must be willing to study at one of the participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions (see the list here)You must be willing to drive change and contribute to development in your own countryYou must be willing to leave Australia for a minimum of 2 years after completing your scholarshipYou must have a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate work experience, working in a field relative to your field of studyYou must be employed at the time of applying for the scholarshipYou must NOT have previously received a long-term Australia AwardYou must meet the minimum English language proficiency of at least 6.5 in IELTS with no band less than 6.0 (an internet based TOEFL score of at least 84, with a minimum of 21 in all subtests, or PTE Academic overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50).
