Summary

The Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) was established over 100 years ago, in 1911. AGSA is the supreme audit institution of South Africa, whose role it is to audit and report on the spending of South African taxpayers’ money by the South African government. AGSA’s partners include the following organisations: Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA); South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA); South African Institute of Government Auditors (SAIGA); Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institution (INTOSAI).
